In the minds of the average Sri Lankan they are the smartest people in the world with the ability to play the regional super powers (who themselves are culpable in the Genocide of the Tamils)against each other for their own ends. This is why MR and GR have not uttered any objection to Mervyn's words. He is the proxy mouthing their words. The UNCHR resolution will do little to change the ways of this family of dictators, who think the rest of the world are as gullible as their voter base. The IC needs to tighten the screws significantly to make them change.Time is some thing that the long suffering opponents and Tamils donot have.Pressure the regime till they capitulate.
